The cutest thing happened early this evening. Greg told Will he would be sleeping in his new big boy bed tonight, so Will immediately went to his crib, removed the blankets from his crib, went back to Greg in his new room, and threw the blankets on his new bed. Isn't that awesome?!! It's amazing how much he really understands. 👏👏👏👏
After storytime, though, Will seemed a bit sad. 😪 Greg placed him in his new bed, and he cried and cried. Greg took him back in his lap, explained to him what was going on, and stayed with him until he fell asleep, a little after 9 pm. 😩
He's still asleep, but we're both nervous for what happens when he inevitably wakes up in the middle of the night. Let him cry it out? Go in to comfort and reassure him? Only respond if it's something like a pain cry (i.e.: He fell out of the bed)?!! Decisions, decisions. Oiy.
Fingers crossed! I should really get to bed just in case things are bad. 😳😳😳
Stay tuned for an update tomorrow. Think good thoughts for us parents here! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
